MT ED IS PROUD TO BE PRODUCING THE REGIONAL PREMIERE OF SOMETHING ROTTEN!
Welcome to the Renaissance and the outrageous, crowd-pleasing musical farce, Something Rotten. Created by Grammy Award-winning songwriter Wayne Kirkpatrick, and successful screenwriters Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, Something Rotten was lauded by audience members and critics alike, receiving several Best Musical nominations and hailed by Time Out New York as "the funniest musical comedy in at least 400 years".
Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as "The Bard." When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self, and all that jazz.
Something Rotten features large song and dance numbers, and a wacky cast of over-the-top characters, each given his or her own special moment in the show to shine. Throughout its Broadway run, the musical received a show-stopping standing ovation from audiences... in the beginning of the first act! It’s become clear that “nothing’s as amazing as a musical,” so don’t miss your chance to be a part of this history-twisting tale.

UPDATE DECEMBER 4, 2020
MT Ed is happy to report that we ran a very successful summer camp and fall theatre program this year. Families were thrilled with our outdoor venue!
With WNY weather, we will be heading back indoors for our winter programs. Masks will be required for all participants for our in person programs. Due to the new yellow zone classification, we are not able to have in-person audiences at this time.
We want to reassure everyone that MT Ed makes the safety of our students our #1 priority. We will continue to meet and exceed all health protocol as we navigate this difficult time. We look forward to when we can welcome audiences to our performances again.
HELP US GIVE YOUR CHILDREN A VOICE
In these unprecedented times, we are certain of few things. One thing we are certain of is that MT Ed will always be here to provide a safe, nurturing and fun learning environment for your child! At this time we are accepting donations for two causes that are very important to us, our tuition assistance program and our fundraiser for a new microphone system. Please consider helping a deserving student pursue musical theatre education and helping all of our students be heard!
Donations can be made via Venmo to @TinaMTEd, via PayPal to or by check. Mail to:
