Auditions will be held in July 2021 with rehearsals being held 2 nights per week July-mid September. Tuition $350. Deposit due upon registration to hold your student's spot. SUMMER THEATRE EXPERIENCE

CALLING ALL STUDENTS High School Juniors thru College Age

Swipe your metro card and bring Broadway's first and only a cappella musical to your stage. In Transit is a dynamic show that tells an all-too-relatable story about finding your way (and yourself) in New York City. From Academy Award-winner Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Frozen, Frozen JR.), James-Allen Ford, Russ Kaplan, and Sara Wordsworth (Frozen JR.), with vocal arrangements by Deke Sharon (Pitch Perfect, "The Sing Off"), In Transit will have everyone humming and beatboxing along.

Jane is an actress juggling auditions and a soul-crushing desk job. Trent and Steven are engaged, but Trent's mother doesn't even know they're together. Ali is picking herself back up after being dumped by her longtime boyfriend. Nate is out of work and doing what he can to get by. Althea is a subway booth attendant who has no time for nonsense. They might not have much in common, but against the backdrop of the bustling Big Apple, their paths cross and affect each other.

MT ED WISH LIST

In December of 2020, MT Ed relocated to our own dedicated space at 4785 Lake Ave, the historic Penny Arcade at Charlotte Beach. We are thrilled to rejuvenate this landmark into a performance venue for generations of students to come. Due to our generous community members and their contributions, we are able to continue running all of MT Ed programs and events, as well as add more to our offerings each year. MT Ed has a wish list of items that we could use to help grow our program. Your donation to MT Ed will help us expand our programs and continue to bring you amazing shows and performances.

UPDATE MAY 5, 2021

We are thrilled that the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter as we move toward live theatre making a full come back. We are confident that after a year of offering safe programming for all of our participants that with continued vigilance, we will continue to keep students and their families and friends safe as we invite them back to summer camps and various programs with live audiences. We will continue to keep up with the latest Covid guidelines and will be continuing to wear masks until that mandate changes.
